The Ayuntamiento de Nerva has brought its economic situation and its main needs to the Diputación Provincial de Huelva. It did so in a meeting between the mayor, Josema Domínguez, and the deputy mayor, Cloti Vázquez, with the president of the provincial body, David Toscano, at the headquarters of the Diputación.

What has been put on the table

According to the Ayuntamiento de Nerva, the municipal representatives conveyed to Toscano an overview of the current situation of the council, the needs of the town and the challenges that the municipal administration must face. The meeting also addressed plans, projects and possible lines of action affecting the municipality, with the aim of establishing a shared roadmap between both institutions.

Collaboration between administrations

The Ayuntamiento considers it essential to maintain fluid communication and permanent collaboration with the Diputación, especially on those matters in which the technical, economic and institutional support of the provincial administration can be fundamental to launching new initiatives. The council stresses the role of the Diputación in supporting the municipalities of the province and in promoting actions aimed at public services, infrastructures and opportunities for local development.

A round of contacts

The meeting is part of the round of institutional meetings that the Ayuntamiento de Nerva has been holding with different administrations to convey the municipality's priorities and explore formulas for cooperation. The municipal government understands that coordination between administrations is a tool to face the challenges of Nerva, especially in projects that require planning, resources and institutional cooperation. After the meeting, Domínguez conveyed the general content of the meeting to the residents. The Ayuntamiento will continue to monitor the matters addressed and will keep open the channels of dialogue with the Diputación to specify new ways of collaboration.
