Families in Beas have an appointment on Saturday, October 24 at 11:00 at the Centro de Servicios Sociales of the municipality. There «El desván de los hermanos Grimm» is performed, an activity to encourage reading in which the storyteller from Huelva Pepa Muriel goes through the attic of her childhood to bring the classic tales back to life.

Dramatised story and exhibition

The proposal combines a dramatised story with an exhibition of old objects, memories and stories. According to the Ayuntamiento de Beas, the activity seeks to rediscover the classic tales and their relationship with the traditions and memory of the villages, and is designed so that young and old share the experience as a family. The event is part of the «Beas Vive el Otoño 2026» programme, which the Consistorio runs with the support of the Diputación de Huelva to bring reading-promotion activities to the municipality.

An appointment with reading in autumn

The initiative joins other cultural proposals in the province around books. The portal reported on October 20 that the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA) is holding a Human Library session on Thursday, October 22 at 17:00 at its space at the Feria del Libro de Huelva, which this year reaches its 50th edition in the plaza de las Monjas until Sunday, October 25.

How to take part

The activity is held on Saturday, October 24 at 11:00 at the Centro de Servicios Sociales de Beas. Entry is free and no prior registration is required.
