Since Tuesday, October 20, the Port of Huelva has its own space at the sixth edition of the Mining and Minerals Hall (MMH 2026), the mining sector trade fair held at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Sevilla (Fibes) until Thursday, October 22. The stand is in Pavilion 3, number 3016.
What is on display
According to the Port Authority, its presence at the fair serves to raise awareness of the port services and infrastructures linked to mining activity and to the logistics of this sector. Raw materials and products from the mining and steel-metal sector, including copper, zinc and titanium minerals, are handled at the port facilities.
The solid bulk terminal has a berthing length of 2.5 kilometres for solid bulk operations, general or breakbulk cargo and project cargo.
Logistics and industry
In the port service area, logistics and industrial activities for the reception, storage, processing and dispatch of goods associated with mining and industry are also carried out. These operations include movements of metal products, industrial machinery and components for energy and industrial projects.
The Port Authority notes that the port's link with mining dates back to the late 19th century, when mining activity developed in the province of Huelva.
