The Huelva City Council has renewed its sponsorship of Sporting Club de Huelva. The agreement serves to support the club's sporting activity, contribute to the continuity of its project and continue promoting women's football in the city, according to the Consistorio. The sponsorship covers the first team and the youth academy. Sporting has eight teams: the first team, which plays in Segunda Federación, and sides in Tercera Federación femenina, youth, cadete, infantil and alevín categories.

Goal: promotion

The first team competes in Segunda Federación, a national category with 42 teams divided into three groups. It faces the 2026/2027 season with the goal of achieving promotion to Primera Federación. Last season it came close to qualifying for the promotion play-off, an opportunity that slipped away in the final minutes of the competition. The mayor of Huelva, Pilar Miranda, said after the signing that "Sporting is a source of pride for our city and a benchmark for women's football." Miranda added that supporting the club means "offering opportunities to new generations of athletes."

The club's vision

The president of Sporting, Manuela Romero, thanked the municipal support, which she considers "fundamental to guaranteeing the continuity of the project." Romero explained that the board of directors has been working for several years to keep the club alive "despite economic difficulties" and asked the fans to keep supporting the team to fight for promotion.
