ElOnubense launches a mobile game: ham knife in hand, from a drying room in Jabugo to the fair in Aracena, a wedding and a bar in Huelva. Thin slices, the plate in a circle and just the right grams. Free, no downloads and with a ranking.

An acorn-fed ham on the ham holder, the long knife, the sharpening steel at hand and a line of plates waiting. Here, cutting any old way won't do.
'El cortador' is the new ElOnubense game. It's played on a phone or a computer, without downloading anything, and its only aim is to have an entertaining time with something we know a lot about in Huelva. It also arrives right in the middle of the Feria del Jamón de Aracena.
How to play
Drag the knife from side to side, just below the cut. If it goes straight and at the right height, a thin, whole slice comes out, with its grain. If it goes crooked or too deep, it comes out thick or broken and leaves steps that ruin the next ones. Then tap the plate to place the slice: in a circle and without piling up.
Before getting to the good part you have to trim the rind and the yellow fat. When one side reaches the bone, turn the ham to go from the maza to the babilla. And now and then, the sharpening steel: the knife loses its edge, and if you hit the bone it gets nicked. On a computer you can also play with the keyboard.

Five places, five orders
—A drying room in Jabugo.
—The fair in Aracena, with its cone of ham.
—A wedding at a hacienda in El Condado.
—A bar in Huelva, with the Muelle del Tinto in the background.
—And the cutters' contest.
Each order asks for its grams, the part of the ham they want and its presentation. The places and the orders belong to the game.

What makes your cutting harder
—The one who asks for 'more, that's not enough!'.
—The fly.
—The rush.
—The knife that loses its edge.
—And the bone, which is always where you don't expect it.
Points and ranking
Thin, whole slices, a well-presented plate and just the right grams score points. With three plates sent back or three hits on the bone, it's over. At the end you see your score and you can play again or challenge someone by WhatsApp.
If you log in to your ElOnubense account, your games count in the game's ranking, with your alias, and add to the portal's overall ranking. You can also play without an account.
