After the Fiesta del Mosto in Corteconcepción and the charity tostón in Aracena, the month continues with wine tastings in Chucena, mushroom days in Aracena, the must of Castañuelo and the migas competitions in the villages of the Sierra.
Must in the vineyards of the Sierra, mushrooms in the chestnut groves and migas in the villages: this is how the province of Huelva eats in November. From the Sierra de Aracena to the Condado, passing through the coast, there are tastings, mushroom days, competitions and popular festivals almost every weekend.
Some events already have a date. Others are held every year around this time but have not yet been announced: better to confirm them before going.
Sunday 1: must in Corteconcepción and chestnuts in Aracena
The month begins in the Sierra with the Fiesta del Mosto in Corteconcepción, which opens its vineyards and wineries on All Saints' Day to taste the year's artisan must, accompanied by grilled meats, Iberian ham and cheeses. At 12:00 the VI Cata Gratuita is held in the Nave Multifuncional, with a draw among those taking part, and there is a walking route through seven vineyards in the municipality, a craft market, activities for children and, from 20:00, a DJ. According to the mayor, the festival dates back to the sixties.
In Aracena, the tostón solidario hands out one hundred kilos of roasted chestnuts from 19:00 in the plaza de Santo Domingo, with homemade sweets, buñuelos and chocolate, to raise funds for the association of relatives of Alzheimer's patients of the Sierra. It is livened up by the campanilleros of Aracena, Fuenteheridos and Higuera de la Sierra. It is worth confirming, because the municipal calendar placed it on the eve.
On the coast, Ayamonte hands out chestnuts from 19:00 next to the parish of San Vicente de Paúl, and in Mazagón the XVIII Ruta de la Tapa «Magia Otoñal», with 12 bars at 4 euros per tapa, presents its awards on Monday 2.

6 and 7: wine in Chucena
In the Condado, Chucena holds the X Feria del Vino with two tastings with limited places: on Friday 6 at 14:00, led by Alonso Solís from Chucena, at the fairground, and on Saturday 7 at the same time, a pairing tasting with the sommelier Mónica Rosón in the assembly hall of the Cooperativa Vitivinícola. The full programme of the fair has not yet been published; last year there were commented tastings, competitions, music and stalls with tastings.

7 and 8: mushrooms in Aracena
In autumn the chestnut groves of the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche are one of the best places in Andalusia to look for mushrooms. Aracena holds its Jornadas Micológicas on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8, according to the municipal festive calendar; in other years they have been organised by the Sociedad Micológica Amanita, with a field trip, talks and an exhibition of what has been collected. The programme and venue for this year have not yet been published.

Saturday 14: must in Castañuelo
The village of Castañuelo, in the municipality of Aracena, holds its Fiesta del Mosto on Saturday 14. It began as a gathering of neighbours and friends and today brings together the musts of different growers from the village; last year there were also migas serranas with sardines, ribs and a paella for around a hundred people.

21 and 28: migas in the Sierra
Migas take over the Sierra in the second half of the month. Santa Olalla del Cala holds its IV Concurso de Migas on Saturday 21 in the municipal marquee: the teams light their fires at 13:00, have two hours to cook about three kilos of migas and at 15:00 hand the dishes to the popular jury. There are baskets of local products for the best. Registration is at the Ayuntamiento.
That same Saturday there are migas in Carboneras, and on Saturday 28 in Jabuguillo, two villages of Aracena, according to the municipal festive calendar.
