From Thursday, November 12 to Sunday, November 15, the centre of Lepe is once again dressed in the Middle Ages. The medieval and craft market will be set up around plaza España and in the streets Alonso Barba, Feria and Real, with stalls, bars and taverns. The event starts on Thursday, November 12 with a parade that will set off from 20.30 hours from the esplanade of the old municipal football ground. Local associations, brotherhoods and groups will take part, along with giants, live music and a dance show. The night parade will close with the «Cencerrada decrépita».

The market opens on Friday morning

The market will open on November 13, 14 and 15 from 11.30 hours. The morning of Friday, November 13 will be dedicated to the visit of the municipality's schools, with the musical parade «Los gigantes», designed to bring schoolchildren closer to medieval customs. Saturday, November 14 brings one of the busiest days: street theatre and characters such as «El retrato de los reyes», the musical parade «Los marqueses medievales» and, from 17.00 hours, a horse parade by the Escuela Hípica Municipal de Lepe. The programme is completed with crafts, live music and dance shows, street theatre and medieval attractions spread across the four days. The deputy mayor of Culture and Festivities, Mariana Otero, points out that the fair «celebrates its thirteenth edition this year and is a highly anticipated event in our city and surroundings», and highlights that it boosts the municipality's business and hospitality offering. The delegated councillor, José Manuel Cortés, has encouraged people to «come out and take part» in an event that, he said, is becoming established in the autumn calendar.
